Halliwick Penguins Swimming Club was the first Halliwick swimming club in the world, set up in 1949.
We are a swimming club for disabled people, of whatever age and with whatever disability.
We are a registered charity and we run on an entirely voluntary basis, with no paid staff. We keep going by asking our members for a small membership fee each year and, otherwise, by raising funds through donations.
The club is a ‘safe space’ for disabled people to learn swimming and water safety. Swimming is the only form of exercise a number of our members can manage and so it is of vital importance to them.
If you would like to donate to help the club then please follow the link below and donate through our Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) page. Our swimmers will really appreciate whatever you can give.
