After 15 years as the club’s Chief Instructor, Janet Jones BEM [pictured here centre in white tee-shirt] has retired in that role. As a small token of our thanks to Janet for all her work, we presented her with a poinsettia plant at the club session yesterday.
Some will remember that Janet’s work for the club stretches back far longer than that. In fact, this is the second time that Janet has retired from the role of Chief Instructor; she took over in the role again 15 years ago when our then Chief Instructor, Paul O’Byrne, sadly passed away.
Sincere thanks, Janet, from all of us at the club, for all you have done for us. We are also delighted that, when possible, Janet will continue to come to club sessions to help us.
You can read more about Janet’s long association with the club and what she has done, both for the club and the wider Halliwick community, here.
