We held our Annual General Meeting 2025 yesterday, and what a lot we packed into a day!
Phiona and Sasha were awarded our ‘Achievement Award’ because they have both achieved so much throughout the year, and they are deserved joint winners. Here they are, firstly in Photo 1 with our club secretary, Debbie, and in Photo 4 with our club chief instructor, Christina.
At our AGM we also elected a new club Chair, Prakash, and he is on the left of Photo 2 alongside Giovani, who was elected our new Club Captain. We are sure that they will both do great jobs in their new roles.
We also awarded our Matthew Hennessy Annual Award (affectionately known as the ‘Penguin of the Year Award’) jointly to Ava and Phillimon. The winner is voted on by all club members through a secret ballot, in recognition of outstanding contribution made to the life of the club throughout the year. Here is Ava, to the left of Photo 3, receiving her award from Sally Hennessy in memory of the late Matthew Hennessy.

Last but not least, we also started a new induction training programme for some of our newer helpers, and that will continue in the coming weeks.
