We are delighted to annonce that Janet Jones, our Chief Instructor, has been honored by the Queen in the Birthday Honours List, 2016.
Janet has been awarded a Medal of the Order of the British Empire (BEM) for services to disability swimming through the Halliwick Penguins Swimming Club.
Janet came to Halliwick Penguins SC many years ago, (too many to remember!), with her disabled son, Oliver, and her late husband, Ian, and has remained dedicated to the club and its work ever since. She has been our Chief Instructor for many years and without her, we could not run our sessions.
Very many congratulations, Janet, on this well-deserved Honour and thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the club!
